ABOUT

WFH

Stacey Woodruff, a stalwart in mortuary science since 1995, established Woodruff Funeral Services in November 2004, realizing his vision of a compassionate sanctuary for farewells. Introduced to the field by his late aunt, Flossie Smith, Stacey’s formal education at Malcolm X College laid the foundation for a career marked by care and professionalism.

During his apprenticeship is where he met his late godfather, Samuel Morrow,  who inspired him to open up Woodruff Funeral Home in May 2007. He is licensed in eight states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia. His commitment to excellence transcends borders, ensuring dignified and personalized services for each individual.

Beyond his role as a funeral director, Stacey actively engages in community initiatives, fostering understanding and empathy around grief. Woodruff Funeral Home reflects his belief in the power of community support.

In rare moments of leisure, Stacey finds comfort in family, pool, and the soulful tunes of jazz and blues. Woodruff Funeral Home, for Stacey, is more than a business; it embodies his belief that every individual deserves a heartfelt farewell. Stacey Woodruff's journey is a narrative of compassion, dedication, and the enduring legacy of providing solace in vulnerable moments.
